A Reflection On As An Influencer Essay - 1293 Words
PPS: As an Influencer, two strong traits are articulation, carefully choosing each word to convey an idea, and optimism, generating positive emotions tied to the idea. The reason each trait, among others, is a strength is twofold. First, I have a natural inclination towards and feel at ease with both. Therefore, a level of comfort exists when using these traits, and I rely on these strengths to accomplish goals. With continued use, the skills become fully developed, stronger, and more comfortable. Additionally, I am strong in these two areas as I intrinsically value each and the interaction between the two. Articulation, as a SNCO and leader, is essential to giving direction, inspiring, counseling, and communicating. Miscommunication and failing to create positive emotions may lead to failed opportunities and lost chances. Likewise, optimism provides excitement and generates enthusiasm. A firm belief in the power and positive impact of an idea leads teams to believe, to act, and to persist through obstacles. Unfortunately, an audience struggles when ideas do not support a strong clearly articulated vision.. Although I consider both strengths, I do recognize a desire and need to further develop each. Whether through continued practice, insight from mentors, or formalized training, opportunities to refine these skills are abundant, and I plan on taking advantage of such opportunities moving forward. Consequently, I plan on meeting twice in the next year with oneShow MoreRelatedRelationship Between An Experienced Registered Nurse Essay1218 Words à |à 5 Pages Preceptorship is the relationship between an experienced registered nurse who is tasked with providing individual attention to and facilitating the induction of the preceptee through coaching, supervision, role modeling and reflection. A path to spiritual discovery - 903 Words
As Madhu Bazaz Wangu indicates, Buddhism is a path to spiritual discovery (8). Being Buddhism, a non-theistic religion, their disciples follow the monotheistic doctrine demonstrating they believe in only one deity. Siddhartha Gautama, mostly known as Buddhaââ¬âââ¬âthe enlightenedââ¬âââ¬â, is the one deity Buddhists believe in. As Wangu writes, Siddhartha practiced severe self-denial and meditation before he could reach Nirvana (state of mind that ends the path of suffering) (8). Siddhartha came to the conclusion that in order to reach Nirvana one should be able to eliminate desire by doing right and thinking right. This could be done by following the Dharma (the law of Buddhism). Because the Buddha never wrote down any of his teachings, his disciplesâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Because Shunyata teaches that everything is independent, and that only understanding this concept will allow to eliminate disturbing emotions in order to reach Nirvana, it is the primordial p hilosophy in Mahayana. Shunyata can be realized by purification, practice of ethics, and single-pointed concentration; this will allow the individual to understand him/her self as an independent I. Moreover, it allows realizing that society does not shape an individual, but an individual shapes his/her self by comprehending shunyata. Even though Mahayana Buddhists believe in Buddha, they believe in a different form of Buddha; Bodhisattvaââ¬âââ¬âBeing of Wisdom. As Heinrich Dumoulin points out, a Bodhisattva is an enlightened Buddhist monk who delays Nirvana in order to help other people obtain release from the path of suffering. Mahayana Buddhists believe that Buddha had been a Bodhisattva in his past lives before he was born as Siddartha Gautama. Apart from showing compassion, a bodhisattva also plays a sacrificial role just as any other deity in order to help the latest individual to obtain nirvana. Being a savior, a bodhisattva practices the Six Virtues, or Paramitas to g ain merit for humankind. According to Wangu, the Six Virtues are, the perfection of giving (dana), the perfection of morality (sila), the perfection of patience (santi), the perfection of courage (virya), the perfection of meditation (dhyana), and the perfection of wisdomShow MoreRelatedMotorCycle Diaries Essay 31216 Words à |à 5 Pagesï » ¿All discovery is in some way transformative. Shoe Industry Free Essays
The sole is the bottom part of the shoe. Also referred to as the ââ¬Å"outsoleâ⬠of the shoe, this is the part that comes in direct contact with the ground. Outsoles can be made of a variety of materials, including leather and rubber. We will write a custom essay sample on Shoe Industry or any similar topic only for you Order Now Certain types of soles provide more traction than others, by using specific materials or designs. A ballroom dancer might prefer a shoe with a smooth leather outsole, as itââ¬â¢s easier to turn and glide in, while a hiker needs an sole that is thick, durable and waterproof. The sole of the shoe is often the part that will wear out first, but some shoes can be resoled by a shoe repair shop. 1 TRENDS From stickers to paint-your-sole kits, the bottom of your footwear is now the place to customize, personalize or imitate top designers. The trend started a few years back when women realized they could emulate renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutinââ¬â¢s famous red soles by painting the bottoms of their shoes red with ordinary paint or nail polish. One U. K. ardware store recently reported that sales of red paint have surged 40 percent over last year, thanks to customers looking to recreate the look on lower-cost heels. Topshop Louboutinââ¬â¢s soles, which instantly identify the brand, have even sparked lawsuits around the world, with Louboutin trying to protect his look. Now other designers are cashing in on the trend, trying to set themselves apart by coming out with soles in their own unique colors, like designer Chloe Greenââ¬â¢s line for Top shop this spring, which featured light green soles. Rosso Solini. Footwear accessory brand Rosso Soliniââ¬â¢s sole stickers are less about imitating a designer look than about standing out from the crowd. In addition to its uber-popular firetruck red, Rosso Solini offers a range of 20 stickers in animal patterns, glitter and other bright colors, like blue, which has proved to be a big hit with brides. ââ¬Å"With Rosso Solini, people can easily make a simple shoe look more expensive, or dress up their favorite pair of old shoes,â⬠founder Tara Haughton, 17, told TODAY. com. ââ¬Å"You can put it on yourself, itââ¬â¢s easy to try and affordable. â⬠Haughton, who lives in Ireland, designed the stickers as part of a school project, and two years later the company has customers in 22 countries through its website, with its biggest fans in Brazil. Haughton will mark her official U. S. debut with an appearance on QVC Sept. 4, selling her set of three instant shoe soles ($26, rossosolinishop. com). The stickers are made with 3M materials and some of the packs include a knife for cutting around the adhesive. ââ¬Å"Personalization is becoming more and more prevalent, and in fashion in particular,â⬠Marshal Cohen, chief retail analyst at NPD Group, told TODAY. om. ââ¬Å"People used to be able to splurge, but with todayââ¬â¢s economy, consumers are saying, ââ¬ËForget that; I will just paint my soles red. ââ¬Ë In addition, people donââ¬â¢t necessarily want to look like everyone else. This trend toward customizing soles isnââ¬â¢t just about looking impressive, but about the ability to make something unique. â⬠SAVE YOUR SOLE For others who want a more designer look, many shoemakers in large cities like New York and Los Angeles offer the option of fitting red soles. Or you can turn to Save Your Sole, which sells shoe soles and paint in nine colours, including cream, blue, and its ever-popular red. The soles need to be attached by a shoemaker, but the colour will last until the sole wears out, unlike paint, which can flake off after a short walk on the pavement. Save Your Sole founder Amanda Collins started the company two years ago to save her own trove of designer shoes, and quickly expanded the business, with the U. S. soon to overtake the U. K. as her biggest market. Sales of her Red Sole Gift Set, which includes red soles, touch-up paint and a paintbrush, have increased by 25 % in the last month alone (SaveYourSole. co. uk, $45. 95). Clearly getting in on the hot trend, TODAYââ¬â¢s Matt Lauer shows Al Roker the bright orange soles of his shoes. In the coming months, the company will release other colors like pink and purple, and sheââ¬â¢s now in talks with Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys and other high-end retailers about stocking her products. 2 OBJECTIVES ISSUES Every pair of Eccoââ¬â¢s Iââ¬â¢ve had cracked. I had a pair of their ââ¬Å"dress shoesâ⬠, they were pretty bad. Also have had 3 pairs of the Ecco ââ¬Å"Trekâ⬠shoes (goretex hiking shoes)â⬠¦ they cracked as wellâ⬠¦. you can get them replaced but they do crack at about 2 years (think theyââ¬â¢re about $75 to do so). I bought them at nordstrom, complained and they gave me a new pair though. It is a manufacture defect, not one of use (since the traction was in good condition). ââ¬â Xericx I bought a pair of Ecco ââ¬Å"Cityâ⬠bluchers sometime around 2002 and only wore them three or four times. Got them on sale and meant to use them in the rain or traveling. I packed them away in their box and stored them in my closet for about four years because I didnââ¬â¢t like them very much. I finally got around to wearing them again. On their first day out, I noticed a funny feeling and when I checked the bottom of one of my shoes, I found that much of the heel and other parts of the sole had disintegrated into pieces, pretty much like crumbling a styrofoam cup. Weirdest thing Iââ¬â¢ve ever seen happen to a shoe. Kind of funny to see shoes that still looked brand new, too early to really even develop significant creases, and have the sole fail like that. Perhaps I could/should have done something else but I was so angry I tossed the shoes into the trash when I got home. ââ¬â eighty-sixed Eccoââ¬â¢s niche is comfort. When you try them on in a store they feel great. However, the soling material that they use tends to dry out quickly. When that happens the sole cracks or disintegrates. For those with Eccoââ¬â¢s donââ¬â¢t store them above normal heat or cold. That speeds up the deteriorating process. Also, try to wear them regularly. -nick v. CONTRIBUTIONS Rocker sole shoes have long been known for their therapeutic benefits. They can protect the heels and the balls of the feet from repetitive impact with concrete and hard surfaces. They can be helpful for those suffering from heel and arch pain. They can also be helpful for those suffering from arthritis in the big-toe-joint (hallux rigidus). They promote good posture and can improve circulation. Rocker soles tend to engage core muscles and can improve proprioception. But rocker sole shoes are not for everyone. If you have problems with vertigo or dizziness, for example, a rocker sole shoe may not be appropriate. How to cite Shoe Industry, Papers

Question: Discuss about theLiterature Reviewfor Current Accounting and Financial Systems. Answer: Introduction In the Australia, business firms including large, small and medium are heavily depends on accounting packages not only to reduce the cost gain competitive scope, but also perform different types of bookkeeping and financial functions effectively. These packages allowed the companies to bring essential improvements within their current accounting and financial systems, strategies and procedures attain long term financial goals.. Basically, this research paper would provide a detailed analysis or literature review on the most widely used and available software packages within the Australian software industry. Moreover, the history, development, adoption, present market size/market share, source of competitive advantages in the context of software packages would be discussed. Literature Review In the views of Binu, and Meenakumari, (2012), accounting packages are assuming most fundamental role in minimizing the costs, gaining market share, improving financial reporting systems and offering competitive scope. It means such packages are adopted by the Australian firms or companies not only to improve reporting systems but also get the real time information so that strategic decisions can be made effectively. These accounting packages are time and cost effective that helps the user to perform their accounting and financial functions more accurately, smoothly and effectively. For example, through the use of such software, Australian companies are bringing innovation within their different financial functions including payrolls systems, financial reporting systems, supply chain management etc. On the other hand, in the support of Goeland et al., (2011) stated that, these software provided significant opportunities to the user companies about how they should manage, control and improve financial or bookkeeping data/information in a more dynamic and meaningful manner. For example, the business firms take and make strategic and core financial decisions based on the output produced by such packages. Moreover, user of this software are able make decisions and develop more specific budgets (cash, operational, sales, financial budget, master budget, flexible budget) and other tactics. Simply, this software played key role in adding theexactnesssoundness within the entire financial and bookkeeping processes. Intuit QuickBooks: Kumar and Lu, (2010) analyzed that, in the Australian software industry, Intuit is most common and widely used software by the small business firms that was came into the market in 1983. Tom Proulx and Scott Cook was the originator of this accounting software. Initially, this was introduced in the market as a dos version not double entry accounting system. Moreover, this accounting package is developed by the company for the small business owners so that they can perform their basic accounting and financial functions speedily, accurately and effectively. On the other hand,Intuit is adopted by the small sized businesses to conduct functions related to invoices, budget, and payroll systems, make payroll payments, manage/pay bills etc. For instance, small firms are able to track their business income, expenses, and profits effectively. The company has no greater market share in the Australian software industry due to limited functions and features. For case, it is specially designed for the small scale companies not for all kinds of firms. Furthermore, it is a low cost/price accounting software as compare to others in the business sector that provides competitive advantage to Intuit over others. Additionally, thecomprehensive level of features provided byIntuit is also the major source of competitive advantages to the company. But, limited features/functions, less speed and accuracy, lack of availability of cloud based applications etc are the major limitations of this software package(Shim, and Siegel, 2005). MYOB: According to Monks and Minow, (2008), MYOB is top Rated Australian Accounting Software in the industry that was introduced in the market in 1980 and the founder of this software is Christopher Lee. Lee developed this with the help of his team of experts atTeleware Inc. Data-Tech Software Company is the major company that played a major role in publishing of MYOB as accounting software in 1997. Moreover, MYOB is also known as the best accounting software programs in the whole software industry that is developed to assists the users to stay up-to-date with compliance obligations. With the help of MYOB, bookkeeping and financial functions can be performed online effectively. It also helps the user to perform wide range of functions associated with the finance and accounting. In the current time within the Australia, this software is used by almost all the sized of business firms. So, it can be said that, this software is adopted by the user to make enhanced financial/bookkeeping decisio n with real time view ofbusinesss monetary process for the purpose to increase organizational productivity, profitability, and market share(MYOB. 2016). Morley, and Parker, (2009) interpreted that,it had covered more than 72% market share of the total industry that indicates it is most widely used software in the Australia. So, in term of market size, MYOB is the biggest and largest as compare to other software in the industry. Additionally, it also has maximum revenues, profit, and market share, maximum satisfied customers, so it is the market leader in the industry. At the same time, this softwares main functionalities or features are very different, dynamic and innovative than others that offer competitive advantages to the company. For example, in term of accuracy, efficiency, speed, reliability, flexibility, cost, time, motivation, up to mark information, MYOB is best that are the major source of competitive scope. But, the execution process is more complicates because the implementation process require more time, and skilled staff or technical experts to run and install the software that increase the cost of the user(Needles, P owers, and Crosson, 2010). Saasu: It is an Australian based private accounting software company that was established in 2000. The founder of the company wasGrant Young andMarc Lehmann. This software was developed on the basis of automation in business. It was developed for the user organization to perform functions related to cash flows with the organization. Moreover, it is adopted by the users to effectively create customized invoiceswith or without accompanying payments. Hence, it allows users to improve their payroll systems and functions effectively. Day by day, there is a rapid improvement in the market share of the company but still now it does not have more market share and size as compare to MYOB, Recon, Xero(Saasu.2016). Additionally, the features of Saasu are more dynamic. For case, through effective use of this, business organizations are able to run, control, manage, and operate foreign currency accounts and transactions can be converted automatically. Moreover, it also allows companies tomechanically ti metable recurring sales and expenses. But, hacking of valuable data, lack of data security, higher chances of fraudmisrepresentation are the major issues associated with this software(Carol, 2009). Xero: Parsons and Oja, (2012) explained that,it is a company of New Zealand that specially design and provides accounting software in the Australia for the small businesses. The company was founded in 2006 by the founder Rod Drury. It is offering cloud based software as per themodern accounting. Moreover, this is developed and adopted by most of users in order to get the advantages of real-time data monitoring capabilities. For case, this allows users to conduct vast variety of accounting functions and transactions with more speed and accuracy. For case, by using this software, the business firms can conduct online invoicing and save time and cost (Xero. 2016). So, it is helping to overcome certain bookkeeping issues effectively. Moreover, Xero allows users to import as well as categorize their business banking transaction effectively. On the other hand, through this, organizations can properly manage their payroll taxes, calculate payroll and pay their staff. These specialties of Xero are helping the company in providing the competitive advantages. The company had more than 13% market share in the industry of Australia. But, the main limitation of using this software is that, it is not provide long term advantages because it is unable to generate long run profit(Griffin, 2009). Conclusion After analyzing the facts of the above conducted literature review, it is concluded that, accounting software played a fundamental role in the overall success of the user organization by enhancing their market share, and profitability. Moreover, MYOB is the market leader that had gained maximum market share than Xero, Recon, Quickbooks, Saasu. Hence, all these are the key players and provider of accounting software in the Australia. References Binu, S. and Meenakumari, J. (2012).A Security Framework for an Enterprise System on Cloud.
